Description
Nurturing Talent with the Beatriz Seijo Kids’ Creative Art Workshop
The 100-minute Beatriz Seijo Kids’ Creative Art Workshop is designed to give young artists the time and space they need to delve deeper into their personal expression. From the age of 8, kids develop an advanced capacity for observation and fine motor skills that allow them to tackle more complex technical challenges. In our Santiago studio, we transform that natural curiosity into solid artistic skills through drawing, painting, and three-dimensional expression.
A Pedagogical Approach Based on Freedom and Technique
Unlike conventional drawing classes, this workshop prioritizes teaching students how to make their own creative choices. Throughout each 100-minute session, kids don’t just learn how to handle a paintbrush or charcoal—they experiment with volume and approach the paper or canvas as a space of absolute freedom. The Beatriz Seijo methodology is built upon:
-
Exploring Materials: Utilizing both dry and wet mediums, painting, sculpting projects, and ceramic clay handbuilding to fully understand art in three dimensions.
-
Long-Term Projects: The extended duration ensures kids never feel rushed to finish. This helps them learn that artistic processes—especially working with clay and managing drying times—require patience and care.
-
Critical Thinking: We encourage every student to analyze their own work and that of their peers with respect and admiration.
Benefits of Creativity in Childhood Development
Regular participation in a creative art workshop has a powerful, positive impact on other areas of growth. By integrating sculpture and pottery, students not only improve their focus and concentration, but also develop unique motor skills and spatial awareness as they transform raw materials with their own hands.
Furthermore, they build stronger self-esteem by seeing their tangible achievements and learn to manage frustration through creative trial and error. In our studio, every “smudge” or unexpected variation in the clay is treated as a learning opportunity. Our goal is for kids to feel like professional artists from day one, working in an environment that breathes art from every corner.

Registration in our monthly disciplines ( Ceramics, Painting and Kids’ Creativity ) implies acceptance of these conditions, designed to guarantee the pedagogical quality and sustainability of our groups.
1. Enrolment and seat reservation
-
Registration and erolment: To guarantee your seat, it is required to pay the registration fee (a one-off payment of €50.00) and the first monthly instalment for the chosen course in advance.
-
Continuity: You will not be required to pay the enrolment fee again as long as you retain your place without interruption. In the event of voluntary withdrawal, any future re-enrolment will be subject to payment of the current enrolment fee.
-
Flexible Enrollment: If you join a group after the course has already started, you will be charged the registration fee and a pro-rata share of the remaining monthly fee, or the full monthly fee if you join at the start of the monthly period.
-
Cycle Renewal: Students who complete the school year and wish to continue in the next cycle will be exempt from paying enrolment fees.
-
Mobility: You can request a change of group or discipline during the year at no additional cost, as long as there are vacancies.
-
Priority Enrollment: At the end of the school year, we open a priority booking period for the following academic year. To confirm your seat, you will be required to pay the first monthly fee for the new course in advance.
2. Monthly Payments and Commitment to Attendance
-
Guaranteed Place: Monthly payments must be paid in full within the first 5 days of each month. As your place is reserved exclusively for you, the fee must be paid regardless of any occasional absences.
-
Management of Non-Payments: Failure to pay the monthly fee by the specified deadline will result in the automatic loss of your place and your removal from the workshop.
3. Cancellation and Unsubscription Policy
-
Early Cancellation: If you decide not to start the course after booking, you may request a Workshop Voucher for the amount of the monthly fee paid, provided you give at least 7 calendar days’ notice. The registration fee is non-refundable.
-
Voluntary Cancellation: To formalise a permanent cancellation, you must notify us before the 20th of the current month. Cancellations notified on or after the 21st will take effect the following month, meaning the full monthly fee for that month must be paid.
4. Organizational and Coexistence Commitments
-
Group Viability: The running of workshops is subject to a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not reached, the school will refund 100% of the fees paid (enrolment fee and course fee).
-
Relocation due to Cancellation: If an existing group falls below the minimum number of students required for it to continue, students will be offered a seat on alternative timetables. If this is not possible or the student is not interested, a technical cancellation will be made without penalty and all charges will be stopped.
-
Right of Admission: To maintain a creative, safe and respectful working environment, the management reserves the right of admission. Any behaviour that seriously disrupts the harmony of the group will result in immediate expulsion without entitlement to a refund.
1. What material does my child have to bring to the workshop?
None, all material is included. We take care of providing everything necessary for them to live the complete creative experience. We believe that creativity flourishes when the material is at our fingertips; Thus, each student works at their own pace without families having to worry about last-minute purchases or trips.
2. Why is it important for them to wear the workshop apron?
We know that sometimes artists don’t want to wear the apron so as not to feel “small” or different. However, acrylic paint is almost impossible to remove from clothing. For this reason, we have chosen very comfortable linen aprons, designed to make them feel empowered and detach the activity from “school routines”. We want them, when they put on their artist clothes, to feel like they are entering a space of creative freedom.
3. What happens if the clothes get paint stains?
If carelessness occurs, the first thing is to soak the garment and then scrub. The ease of removing the stain will depend on the fabric: on cotton fabrics it is more difficult because the pigment adheres, while on synthetic or plastic fabrics the paint film usually comes off more easily.
4. What does ACMI certification mean in your paintings?
Our mission is to take care of the health of your family. For this reason, we select paints with the AP (Approved Product) seal from ACMI. This guarantees that the materials have been toxicologically evaluated and do not contain harmful substances for humans or the environment. We want you to enjoy art in a completely safe way.
5. What does the process of firing ceramic pieces consist of?
In the children’s ceramics workshop, children learn that clay needs fire to transform. We bake your pieces at 1300 ºC for about 8 hours. It’s a magical process where your creations stop being simple clay figures and become real, utilitarian ceramic objects, like your own drinking cups!
6. If my child cannot go to class one day, can he/she make up for it?
No. In the case of children’s groups, each workshop is prepared in a monographic and specific way for the students of that particular group. They are closed groups with their own internal rhythm and limited capacity, so it is not possible to attend at a different time than usual.
7. How do I manage the withdrawal if my child cannot continue attending?
You can request withdrawal at any time through your personal section on the website. The only requirement is to process it before the 20th of the current month. If the absence is only going to be temporary, you can check our “maintenance fee” to ensure that your place is reserved upon your return.
